Irina Gabriela TOMA

Irina Toma joined the College of Europe as Project Assistant in June 2024.

At the Executive Education, Training and Projects Office she is involved, among other projects, in the training programmes focusing on EU Competition Law and Competition Policy & Digital Markets.

Previously, Irina worked at the European Education and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels, and the European University Institute in Florence. Her main interests and expertise lie in the field of international relations and EU higher education. She has experience in the preparation and implementation of training programmes, administrative support, and event organization, as well as in providing assistance with project reporting and monitoring.

Irina holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Dynamics of Cultural Landscape, Heritage, Memory and Conflictualities, jointly implemented by Jean Monnet University, France, Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Portugal, University of Naples Federico II, Italy and Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Studies from Babeș-Bolyai University in Romania. Irina is a native Romanian speaker, is fluent in English, French and Italian, and has some knowledge of Spanish.
