The transformation process of energy production systems from fossil to predominantly renewable technology is very complex and it will require several decades as well as a high capital investment. This book undertakes a detailed analysis and shows the technical options and possible courses of action based on them. For this purpose, the author uses quarter-hourly time series of the supply or (e.g. in the field of electromobility) detailed time series of the load profiles. The author shows which alternatives are economically feasible according to the current status and how a regenerative full supply up to about 85% could be technically and socially possible.
