Study Trip

The Department of European Political and Governance Studies organizes a 4-day study trip in Strasbourg where our students visit European and International Institutions and meet with leading experts, civil servants and practitioners.

Students can choose amongst different site visits in addition to recreational activities such as a visit to a winery or a boat tour around Strasbourg. The department dines together on the final evening to enjoy the Alsatian Flammkuchen or Tarte flambée. The trip is made possible thanks to the support offered by the Collectivité européenne d'Alsace, the city of Strasbourg, the Région Grand-Est and the French Government.

The Institutions visited include:

  • The European Parliament
  • The European Ombudsman
  • The Council of Europe
  • The European Court of Human Rights
  • Cultural institutions located in Strasbourg
  • Regional and local institutions (Collectivité européenne d'Alsace, Town Hall of Strasbourg)
