With the growing influence of digital expressions of opinion, their negative consequences are becoming increasingly clear, as they are increasingly being used to spread hate speech. The question therefore arises to what extent the standards of the analogue world can also be transferred to the digital world and whether there is a need for special regulations to address the dangers of online expression of opinion. The World Wide Web as a global means of communication and intermediaries as global companies require a comparative legal consideration of universal and regional European international law, supranational EU law and national (German) constitutional law on these issues.
