Why this course?

Through the Governance Programme, participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Receive a thorough introduction to the EU’s institutional set-up and decision-making procedure during the first week of teaching;
  • Get an in-depth review of the EU’s internal policies in the second week of the seminar;
  • Get a first-hand experience of the works of the EU with a study    visit to the EU institutions in Brussels;
  • Analyse the EU’s external action and foreign policy initiatives during the second week of the seminar;
  • Apply all the gathered knowledge by partaking in a simulation game of the EU’s decision-making process;
  • Tailor the programme to their own professional needs through elective modules;
  • Exchange ideas on European policies with practitioners at the top of their field;
  • Live and learn in a multicultural environment;
  • Extend their personal and professional networks.

Through the Policies and Priorities programme, participants will have an opportunity to

  • Analyse the Commission’s Work Programme and its main initiatives with high-level professionals and academics at the top of their field;
  • Discuss the possible scenarios and directions of the EU in the light of geopolitical changes, and the EU leadership’s vision;
  • Exchange with and receive input from EU practitioners and academics through workshops and panel debates;
  • Live and learn in a multicultural environment;
  • Extend their personal and professional networks.
