Natolin Field Trip: Electricity Dispatching Centre HQ | Climate and Energy Transition Nest

The Climate and Energy Transition Nest of the College of Europe in Natolin organised a field trip for Natolin students to the headquarter of the Electricity Dispatching Centre (PSE) in Warsaw.

The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the critical operations of Poland’s Transmission System Operator (TSO), as well as to explore key challenges and opportunities within the energy sector, particularly in the context of energy policy and the green transition.

During the visit, students were introduced to the ways in which PSE manages Poland’s national electricity grid and ensures a stable and secure energy supply. They learned about the core responsibilities of TSOs within the broader European framework and gained valuable insights into the evolving electricity market. Discussions focused on the integration of Renewable Energy Sources, system security, and the challenges associated with decarbonisation and the green transition.
