On 21 April 2023 MATA welcomed Anthony L. Gardner, US Ambassador to the EU 2014-2017 for an informal exchange. The conversation focused on current transatlantic challenges, such as alignment regarding China, the Inflation Reduction Act, subsidies, Ukraine’s reconstruction, and the upcoming election year on both sides of the Atlantic. Ambassador Gardner shared his experience with the students regarding their future career paths, the importance of their current studies and their role and contribution towards strengthening transatlantic partnership – at national diplomatic services, international organisations, and the private sector.
