Farewell ELEA Conference : “Future Directions of EU Competition Enforcement”

On 19 June 2025, the students of our European Law and Economic Analysis (ELEA) programme came together to host a special farewell conference on the “Future Directions of EU Competition Enforcement.”

More than just an academic gathering, this event marked the conclusion of the ELEA programme after two decades of rigorous and innovative training at the intersection of European law and economic analysis.

The day featured insightful discussions on a wide range of current and emerging issues in EU competition law and policy, from merger control to compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and the enforcement challenges posed by artificial intelligence.

We extend our heartfelt thank you to all the panellists who celebrated this special moment with us: Inge GOVAERE, Beatrice DUMONT, Sean MERNAGH, Elvira ALIENDE RODRIGUEZ, Nicolas CHAVONNAND-VALADES, Alvaro FOMPEROSA RIVERO, Enrico ROSSI, Antoine BABINET, Luuk BRESSERS, Filomena CHIRICO, Helena DE JONGE, Aleksandra BOUTIN, Antonios BOUCHAGIAR, Tobias PESCH, Pascaline DEMERLÉ, Edgar CARPENTIER-CHARLÉTY, Antoine OGNIBENE, and Marine MONTEJO.
