The Journalism and Media nest of the College of Europe in Natolin hosted a special discussion on the role of disinformation during Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Our special guest was Mr Givi GIGITASVILI, Researcher with the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Laboratory. Mr GIGITASVILI gave a presentation on the situation in Ukraine, the role of Russian disinformation during the war and lead a Q & A session with Natolin students.
About our guest
Mr GIGITASVILI is a digital researcher and international development consultant with versatile professional and research experience gathered in Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine, Germany, and Poland. His professional interests include but are not limited to foreign influence operations in post-Soviet space and relations between the European Union and Russia.
In his capacity as an International Development Consultant, he has worked on technical assistance projects commissioned by various international donors, including the European Commission, EuropeAid, DFATD, and World Bank. He is a certified project manager (PRINCE2).
