College of Europe welcomes Prof. José DÍAZ LAFUENTE as visiting scholar

Prof. José DÍAZ LAFUENTE from the Universidad Complutense Madrid (UCM) is joining the College of Europe’s Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies as a visiting scholar for three months from November 2024 to January 2025. During his stay, Prof. DÍAZ LAFUENTE will conduct researchin the framework of a project of UCM’s EUINT (European Union and International Relations) research group on the Samoa Agreement and the progress in EU-ACP relations. He holds a PhD in Law and Political Science from the University of Valencia and Master’s degrees in EU Studies from UNED (Open National University of Spain) as well as from the College of Europe, Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies. He has worked as professor and researcher at universities in Spain, France, Brazil and Argentina, and he also gained professional experience at the European Parliament and as a cooperation officer at UNHCR and other international organisations in African countries. He will be available to meet students.
