College of Europe Students Present BRIEF Report 2025 at the European Commission

On Monday, 16 June 2025, a delegation of students from the College of Europe had the opportunity to present their BRIEF Report 2025 to Mr Clint TANTI, Head of Cabinet of Commissioner Glenn MICALLEF, and his team at the European Commission.

The document is the result of a year-long effort by a dedicated group of students of the Jacques Delors Promotion involved in the Bruges Research Institute for Europe's Future (BRIEF), committed to shaping a stronger, fairer, and more competitive European Union for every generation.

The report puts forward a comprehensive set of policy proposals in the fields of institutional reform and citizen participation, cohesion and social policy, trade and industrial policy, as well as climate and energy. The report’s central aim is to bring intergenerational fairness to the heart of the EU’s policymaking process and to ensure that the voices of young Europeans, irrespective of their background, are not only heard but actively integrated into the EU policy debate!

As the academic year comes to a close, we warmly congratulate all the students involved for their outstanding work, dedication, commitment to public dialogue and civic engagement with EU policymaking at the highest level. The BRIEF Report 2025 is a testament to their passion for European affairs and to the academic spirit of the College of Europe in its mission to help build a more inclusive European Union!

Special congratulations go to the students behind this year’s publication: Valentina BUTNARU, Luigi CARBONE, Aritz CASTRO LANDAZURI, Robin FAUCONET, Antoine GAUDISSART, Andrea LÓPEZ IGLESIAS, Silvia MÁRQUEZ THIBAUT, Iñigo MÉNDEZ DE VIGO, Alexander NEUHALFEN, Carmen PÉREZ GÓMEZ, Matteo RICOTTA, Alessandro RIGACCI, Pietro SALA, Eva VAN BEEK, and Meie VAN DER STEEG.
