The College of Europe launches the call for applications for its fifth El-Hiwar Summer School on Euro-Arab Relations: “Technology for Empowerment – Youth Agency in Digital Citizenship”.

The College of Europe, implementing the EU-funded project El-Hiwar III, is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2025 El-Hiwar Summer School on Euro-Arab Relations, which will take place from 1 to 5 September 2025 in Bruges with a study visit to Brussels.

This edition is focused on youth empowerment through technology, reflecting the Euro-Arab commitment to inclusive development, digital innovation, and civic participation, as outlined in the 2019 Sharm el-Sheikh Summit Declaration.

Participants will enhance their knowledge of Euro-Arab relations and gain practical skills through:

  • Live interactive lectures
  • Skills-building workshops
  • A study visit to EU institutions and CSOs in Brussels
  • “Ideas Lab” sessions for peer-led brainstorming
  • Networking and social activities
