Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) & Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) registration
All C-Accounts (College of Europe username and password) require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to access College resources (E-mail, SharePoint, Teams, Intranet, etc.) when off-campus.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- To protect your C-Account, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional factor to verify your identity.
The additional factor prevents anyone but you from logging in to your account, even if they have your password. - Authentication methods:
- Something you know: Your password
- Something you have: Your smartphone
- Something you are: Your fingerprint or facial recognition
- When you log in to a resource for which MFA is required, you must accept a notification sent to the Authenticator app on your mobile device.
- To protect your C-Account, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional factor to verify your identity.
- Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)
- In case you forgot your password, you can reset it yourself by proving your identity using one of the authentication methods you registered.
