On May 10, 2024, the College of Europe in Tirana successfully hosted the "Empowering Women in the Western Balkans: Paths to Equality and Progress" conference as part of Europe Week.
Esteemed speakers from the European Delegation in Tirana, Embassies, civil society and academia engaged in insightful discussions on the barriers and advancements in women's empowerment in the region. The event was attended by EU and international affairs practitioners, students, NGO leaders, youth leaders, and activists.
This event was the first high-level event organised by the College of Europe as part of its new Tirana Campus. It is a demonstration of the commitment of the College of Europe to actively contribute to gender equality in the region.
