Dr Sebastian STEINGASS co-authors a publication on the influence of small states in EU security policy-making

Dr Sebastian STEINGASS, Senior Academic Assistant in the European Interdisciplinary Studies Department at the College of Europe in Natolin, has co-authored a book chapter together with Mr Béranger DOMINICI and Dr Olivier LEWIS, both formerly faculty members at the College of Europe in Natolin.

The chapter is entitled "Small state influence in EU security policy-making: PESCO, Frontex and the integration dilemma" and focuses on small state participation in security-related reforms in two EU policy areas: defence and border control. The full text of the chapter is available here

The chapter is part of an edited volume, entitled "Small States in EU Policy-MakingStrategies, Challenges, Opportunities", which was published by Routledge on 30 April 2024 and edited by Anna-Lena HOGENAUER HÖGENAUER and Matúš MIŠÍK. In eleven chapters the volume looks at how small member states of the EU influence the policy-making process and individual policies. The volume was published open access with the support of the University of Luxembourg.
