5th edition of the tellUs project concludes at European Commission’s DG RTD

The tellUs project perfectly embodies the educational approach of the College of Europe.

This extracurricular activity, organised by the European Political and Governance Studies Department (POL), is now in its 5th edition, with the support and active engagement of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD). It allows students to prepare, discuss, share and debate proposals on issues at the intersection of policy making and research.

From fostering researchers’ effective engagement with policymaking, to how the European Commission can better integrate scientific findings into its legislative output, our students came up with innovative solutions and proposals, which they had the chance to present to DG RTD Director General Marc Lemaitre and Joanna Drake, Deputy Director General, as well as experts and staff members of the relevant units.

This experiential learning activity allows the students to put their academic knowledge into practice a few months before the end of the academic year.

Students’ proposals will soon be available through a report published by the College of Europe.
