2025 Closing Ceremony of the European Union Diplomatic Academy & the European Union Diplomatic Programme for the Enlargement Region

On Wednesday, 11 June 2025, the College of Europe in Bruges hosted the Closing Ceremony of the European Union Diplomatic Academy and the EU Diplomatic Programme for the Enlargement Region, two unique initiatives bringing together diplomats and officials from across the EU and the enlargement region!

Over the past five months, these talented young professionals lived and studied side by side in Bruges, expanding their knowledge of EU affairs, strengthening their commitment to a shared European future, and building friendships that will last well beyond the walls of the College of Europe.

The ceremony was opened by Rector Federica MOGHERINI and featured remarks from Elsa FENET, Director for Budget and Human Resources at the European External Action Service, and Nicolas VUITTON, Programme Manager at the Directorate-General for Enlargement and the Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) of the European Commission. Participants were also greeted with a video message from Valentina SUPERTI, Director at DG ENEST, who warmly congratulated them on their achievements and wished them continued success in their professional journeys!

To all of those who took part in this extraordinary experience: we are proud of how far you have come, and can’t wait to see where you’ll go next. No matter where your path leads, the College of Europe will always be your home!
