Executive education training on Governance Development and Advanced Leadership organised in cooperation with ReSPA

The College of Europe in Bruges, in collaboration with the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA), organised an executive training on Governance Development and Advanced Leadership, specifically tailored for public servants from the Western Balkans.

Running from April 8th to 12th, the programme engaged 25 public servants and officials from the region in a comprehensive exploration of several topics including EU integration and policy implementation, policy development and governance reforms, and a dedicated workshop on communication skills. Divided into two phases, the first one consisted of three days dedicated to the executive education course held in Bruges. In the second phase, participants embarked on an immersive study visit to key European institutions in Brussels, including the European Commission's Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), the European Parliament, the European Committee of the Regions, and the European External Action Service.

To enrich their understanding of bilateral relations, participants also visited the Missions of Montenegro and North Macedonia to the EU, where they discussed the countries' accession processes and bilateral cooperation with the EU.

This immersive experience in Brussels allowed participants to deepen their knowledge of EU institutions and policies while fostering connections with stakeholders involved in the region's integration process.

We sincerely thank ReSPA for the successful collaboration and we look forward to future collaborations.
