The students of the Victoria Amelina Promotion of the College of Europe in Natolin completed their first study trips!
Natolin students explored three unique destinations:
Study Visit to Southeastern Poland (“Galicia”) – A Laboratory of Myths (watch our reel from Galicia)
Students visited cities in the former Galician territory and examined the concept of Borderlands. Galicia represents a unique space of memory for Poles, Ukrainians, Austrians, and Jews - peoples now separated by modern borders.
Study Visit to Northeastern Poland (“Podlasie”) – Coexistence in a Mosaic of Cultures (watch our reel from Podlasie)
This trip focused on multicultural coexistence in the Polish-Belarusian Borderlands, where students explored the region’s rich cultural diversity and historical interactions.
Study Visit to Southern Poland (“Silesia”) – The Many Silesias: Identities, Memories, Transitions (watch our reel from Silesia)
Students delved into the multiple identities and historical paths of Silesia, a region shaped by political, social, and economic transitions - from changes in statehood, through shifts from totalitarianism to democracy, to the transformation from an industrial economy to a climate-neutral and ecologically conscious one.
