The Geostrategy Nest of the College of Europe in Natolin hosted a lecture titled "The Transatlantic Relationship in the Era of Trump Redux" by Ambassador Marek MAGIEROWSKI.

The significance of this event lied in its connection to the ongoing academic and political discourse on the challenges and opportunities in transatlantic relations, particularly in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s election as President of the United States. Ambassador Marek MAGIEROWSKI, drawing on his extensive experience, shared his insights on the future of transatlantic relations in light of Trump's presidency and engaged with students in an exploration of the broader context of his international policies.

 

About the speaker:

Ambassador Marek MAGIEROWSKI is a diplomat, former Polish ambassador to Israel (2018-2021) and the U.S. (2021-24). He served as Deputy Foreign Minister and spokesperson of the President of Poland. Since January 2025, he is Director of strategy for the Poland programme at the Freedom Institute, a Polish think tank.

Ambassador MAGIEROWSKI has over thirty years of journalistic and political career and vast expertise on foreign affairs and global economy, with particular focus on US politics, security, transatlantic relationship, Middle East and Central Europe. He is author of “Exhausted”, a book on the European Union’s financial crisis and „Twelve Photographs of the President”, a novel.

He is author of hundreds of essays and op-eds and made numeours media appearances and interviews. Ambassador MAGIEROWSKI gave public lectures at UC Berkeley, American University, Catholic University, Business Council, Economic Club, US Chamber of Commerce, World Affairs Council. He speaks Polish, English, Spanish and Hebrew.
