Lecture on "The Cyber Dimension of Contemporary Conflicts" by Major General Karol MOLENDA

The Digital Transformation Nest of the College of Europe in Natolin hosted a lecture titled "The Cyber Dimension of Contemporary Conflicts" by Major General Karol Stanisław MOLENDA, Commander of the Cyberspace Defense Forces Component of the Polish Armed Forces.

The lecture was focused on the cyber dimension of contemporary conflicts, its key trends and challenges in this area, as well as insights drawn from the Russia-Ukraine conflict. 

 

About the speaker:

Major General Karol Stanisław MOLENDA is a Polish military officer, expert in the field of cybersecurity. He was promoted to the rank of brigadier general in 2019 and to the rank of major general in 2023. He is the co-founder of one of the most advanced computer forensics laboratories. He chairs the work of international teams that counter malicious operations in cyberspace.

He is a graduate of the Military University of Technology and the Warsaw Management University. He began his service in the 12th Command Battalion, and after a year and a half he was transferred to the Teleinformatics Security Center, which was then incorporated into the Military Counterintelligence Service. In the Military Counterintelligence Service, he held the position of head of the Cyber Counterintelligence Department. More information about the speaker can be found here.
