Within the Western Balkans Insights series, the College of Europe in Natolin was honoured to host a High-Level EU's Neighbourhood and Enlargement Talk titled "Kosova Makes Strides Towards European Integration" with Mr Besnik BISLIMI, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of Kosovo*.
The high-level lecture was focused on the dynamics in the Western Balkans region and Kosovo's perspective on the EU path. It was followed by a Q&A session which was moderated by Ambassador Thomas MAYR-HARTING, Visiting Professor at the College of Europe in Natolin.
The College of Europe in Natolin places significant emphasis on the Western Balkans region through its Western Balkans Insights initiative. The academic curriculum of the European Interdisciplinary Studies programme features well-designed courses on democratisation and European integration processes in the Western Balkans, delivered by leading academics and practitioners in the field, and also includes tailor-made study trips to the region.

About the guest speaker:
Mr Besnik BISLIMI is currently serving as Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo in charge of European integration, development and dialogue since 2021. Previously he served as Minister of Finance. He holds a PhD in Macroeconomics, with specific focus on Public Finance from the University of Freiburg, Germany.
